My youngest girl wanted clouds on the walls of her new room. Well, why not? I’m not a real talent with paint, but I figured I could always go over it if it didn’t work out. But it did. At least, I like it. And she does too.

Some creativity in their vacation.
I got them books to use for drawing and journaling. They decided to decorate them, which let to the mess above. But that’s okay. Creative messes are good.

When I was shopping I found a little set to decorate eggs. Very simple, just a few stencils and some markers. I thought it would be a nice way to add some decoration to the Easter table. Something simple that I could manage, because of course the girls were too old to want to paint eggs. Or so I thought.
I was wrong.

And that reminded me of years ago, when every year, in the week before Easter all three of them invited a friend for a “spring party”. First we painted eggs, then we ate pancakes. A simple tradition that felt very special to all of them. We heard a while ago that class mates were fighting among themselves about whose turn it was to be the friend that was chosen…
I didn’t have a good camera those days and there aren’t a lot of pictures, but I have these two. Good times.

As if I needed one. But you’ve already seen it in the pictures of the last few days, I started beading. I never thought I’d like that, but I do. Instant gratification, I guess.

The easy knitting purple cardigan is going well. I finished the fronts and started a sleeve. I think it will be ready soon.

The green and white sweater is progressing slowly.

I have been very tired last week, so I didn’t work on it often. I decided to keep it very simple, just a stockinette stitch, but it’s hard to control the thin needles and the small stitches when you’re suffering from headaches….
I hope this week will be better.
I have a lot of plans for new projects, but there still in a very early plan-making status, so I’ll post about that later.
