Superwoman

Right now I am…

:: feeling exhausted

:: knowing that’s what February makes me feel like every year

:: trying to get (some) things done anyway

:: frustrated because I want to do so much more

:: smiling because I know that if I’d allow myself to list what I wanted to do today, I’d realise that it’s just too much. I am not superwoman… 😉

A good day

Right now I am…

:: fondly remembering yesterday. Theo and I skipped work (one of the benefits of being self employed and working from home), went to Rotterdam to lunch and look around in some shops, and then we drove to the coast and sat in our favorite pub at the Scheveningen boulevard for hours, talking, drinking (some wine and lots of tea), eating diner, listening to some life music. It was fun. It was needed.

Winterdays

Right now I am…

:: enjoying the beauty of these winter days

:: slowing down

:: but forgetting that’s what I wanted (I’ve been so frustrated to day at the slow pace I’m going)

:: trying to remember that slowing down is a good thing

:: and that slowing down means that you can’t get a week’s work done in a day (oh wait, that isn’t possible anyway)

Crocuses

Right now I am…

:: enjoying lots of sunshine (through the windows, cause it’s really, really cold today)

:: looking back at one month of daily photographs and only two of them that I really don’t like

:: happy because one of my photographs was featured on shuttersisters 365

:: trying to get myself to do some housework now

:: quite sucked into the story I’m writing at this moment. Which is great since I already sold it (the new writing gig). I’ve set myself a deadline for halfway March, but at this rate I may even finish it this week…

:: going to do some vacuuming before I allow myself to get back to that story

Busy

Right now I am…

:: giggling because I always manage to plan a very busy workday when all the other family members are “sort of taking the day off”. Oh well.

:: still getting some work done

:: wondering how much I’ll share here about my new writing gig. I have one. That’s probably all you need to know (it’s in Dutch)
