E. is going to a Harry Potter camp and asked if I could make her a robe. Hmn. That much trust in my sewing should be rewarded. So I did a little research and came up with this. I think I did rather well.
The rest of the uniform came from the thriftshop.

I was on a blogging break, but obviously not on a sewing break. I’ve been playing around with bag designs and made 8 bags these past months. They all found new owners (the girls, my mother, my sister).

These are for my girls. 
I need to find some baby-safe fabrics and try to sell them. They’re real fun to make.

 

I made another bag, but I don’t know what to think of it. Technical it’s done well, but the colors are really boring, I think. Oh well, it was good practice.

More practicing. A turtle. I designed it myself. I like it, though I’m not sure the fabrics are safe for young children. I think I will use it as a pin cushion.

I made this bag for my mother-in-law. I’m happy to say that she liked it. (the colors are brighter in real life)

My first patchwork and my first quilting. I made them as a present, but I do see some mistakes and I doubt the person I meant to give them to will like them, so I’ll keep them myself.

E. is going to a fantasy fair and had to have a costume. After some discussion about what outfit would be acceptable (not too revealing and not too hard to make) she and her friends decided to make a dress from Pride and Prejudice.
We had to do a little guessing (since the only “pattern” I had was a few blurry pictures of the real pattern her friend mailed) but I think we did rather well.

I have a new sewing machine! My old machine always had issues and since I’m doing a lot of sewing lately I decided I needed a new one. Still a cheap and simple one, but it works really well.

To get a feel for it I needed a project with lots of stitching, so I made this needle roll to house my growing collection of knitting needles.

I was inspired by Amanda to make a little bag for my camera. So much easier to take it with me now.
